Egisto Lancerotto

EGISTO LANCEROTTO, PROTAGONIST OF TWO GREAT EXHIBITIONS IN SPRING, IN NOALE AND AT VILLA PISANI

In the centenary of his death, the town of Noale (Venice), with the collaboration of the Veneto Region, wanted to pay homage to the painter Egisto Lancerotto, star of the Venetian art scene between XIX and XX centuries, with the first exposure entirely dedicated to him, organized in the beautiful setting of the National Museum of Villa Pisani at Stra (Ve).
Another section of the exhibition will be staged in the Lodge Palace of Noale, birthplace of Lancerotto.
In exhibition there will be numerous works from the Civic Collection of Noale, public museums and private collections, that will recreate the long and rich artistic career of Egisto Lancerotto. The painter is famous for representing the everyday life (especially portraits and everyday scenes) and for the ability to stop with a few taps the slow flow of time, according to the “realism” that distinguished him and took him to exhibit at the Biennale of Venice.
The exhibition “Lancerotto. The return of a hero” will be open at Villa Pisani from 7 April to 25 June 2017, while the exhibition of Noale will be open to the public from 29 April to 28 May 2017.
